It recently started after Spybot S&D detected 5 MORE viruses on my computer. I deleted them all. Well, now I’m getting “SECURITY ALERT” from every site I visit and sometimes it shows even when I don’t have Internet Explorer open!
Title: Security Alert
Body: Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not avaidable. Do you want to proceed?
Buttons: Yes, No, View Certificate
I don’t know if the virus infected my computer while Spybot S&D was deleting it or what so can anybody clear me out if this is just normle because I never saw this popup.
(No image because the file is too large but I do have an image.)
I don’t think this has anything to do with Spybot. ( unless it is to do with the removals )What i mean is they are not spybot alerts. What I find very strange is you say you get these alerts when your not browsing ? :o
This is a setting in IE regarding security certificates. tools/internet options/content/certifcates/trusted root certificates.
What were the 5 viruses removed by spybot. I did a bit of googling, the only success i found was someone who date was wrong, correcting the date solved the problem
Do you have any problem with windows updates ?
I don’t have any problems with windows update.
The logfile is in the attachment. (I did delete them but I saved it before I clicked fix.)
I’ll try another scan with Spybot Search and Destroy just to be on the safe side. ;D (I wonder if this could be from maybe an unknown virus downloader…)
IF you are going to Post a Spybot Log, it should be the One that shows the
5 “Viruses” ; I recommended the Spybot Forums because they should be
knowledgeable as to IF the 5 “Viruses” you “deleted” MAY have any Side
Effects, because, generally speaking, malware “Detections” are Best initially
“Quarantined”, NOT “Deleted” .
