Security Certificate Websites

Hi,

I just updated to the recent version last week. Ever since I have had issues with my corporate website that requires a security certificate authentication. Either it is prompting me to choose the correct certificate credentials multiple times or it just shuts down windows internet explorer altogether. I doesn’t appear to happen at all if I temporarily shut down avast. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the same things keep happening. Any insights? This is really annoying, especially since I cant find any threads where users are experiencing the same issue.

i’ve also experienced this or something similar. Using a site i have used for many years avast now pops up saying “avast web shield has blocked access to this page because the following certificate is invalid”. Have added the site to the exceptions list and that doesn’t prevent the popup from showing.
the website in question is https://www.warez-bb.org/viewforum.php?f=4
Have entered that link into VirusTotal and it had a 100% clean rating.
Disabling HTTPS prevents the popup, but that method is not ideal.

I did add my secure website’s url as an exclusion in the active protection web shields. This seems to have corrected like 80% of the problem I was getting just navigating the web site, however, I still receive the same behavior when retrieving certain documents from the web site. Is there something more I could be doing?
