Better bad protection and a good virus removal better?
Or
Better good protection but bad removal?
Conclusion better good protection and good removal^^
Anyway this is the advantage of custom installation of protection software!

sure ;D
[font=Segoe UI] I’m sorry but I did not understand what you mean. The adjectives are clashing. “Better bad” , “good virus removal better” and “Better good”.
shiw liang tried to philosophise a little. He took a dilemma: “What is better for anti-malware software: to have a good virus detection rate but bad virus removal capabilities or to have a bad virus detection rate but good virus removal capabilities?”.
I think the dilemma is completely false but I guess shiw liang isn’t glad that Avast usually removes the whole infected files without curing them (“biting” the virus code out of the infected files).
No I have nothing against avast^^but for the other users who blame that avast don’t remove all infected files but they should know that if avast remove the an important file their system will be damaged!
Hi Shiw. Read your other post where you mentioned you should maybe change your glass. Stop drinking dude.
Just want to give some good advice, don’t go all goofy on me now.
Hello anothermack,
shiw is learning things. probably his mother tongue is not English. He is still a teenager. bare with him. and fyi : I don’t get paid for saying such things. ;D
nmb
avast can remove every trojan,ROOTKIT,worm,virus,…
and can provide a big protection i have a norton 2010 on my other pc and norton also works good but not like avast its gui better than avast 4.8 but avast 5 is better.
so please avast, norton, kasperski, eset,…are the big guys in security and we cant talk about them they dont like pc tools or comodo.
BUT avast as i notice is the most spreading product and in stable conditions,it needs some cleaning routines and it will be the greatest one on this Earth"now it is one of the greatest one"
Hi nmb, i really ment no kind of insult in any way to Shiw, believe me… Just tried to make an absurd joke. And the joke was conceived at the moment the other poster pointed on the difference between glasses, like the thing on your nose, and a glass, like to thing you drink from.
Hello Shiw, no offence.
Brgds,
mack
Back to topic … I think there’s growing awareness that “old-fashioned” viruses (meaning the ones which infected existing files which could then often be repaired) are becoming increasingly rare. These days the average user is more likely to run into more “sophisticated” (maybe complex is a better word) kinds of malware, and in most cases the damage these cause can’t be repaired, and file deletion is the only option.
The only virus scanner I have ever used on my computer is Avast Pro.
Stand 100% behind the product.
My firewall, ZA Pro, has been phucking up recently. Slow boot and the support is not great for it.
However, I am really uncertain as to which other firewall to use.
Better the devil you know!
