How did you get this to install/run I just get an error.

Since this is a zip I just dragged the folder into, my Non-Registry-Programs folder and ran ferret.exe from a cmd window ?
There is no wpcap.dll in the zip package nore is it in my windows or sub folders.

Hi DavidR,

You need this to handle raw packets (wpcap.dll implements the libpcap API (plus some extensions) for Win32 systems; packet.dll, and the drivers for various Win32 operating systems, provide a Win32-specific raw link-layer packet access mechanism.). Certain sniffer programs need this dll as well. Remember the program is only a first implementation of an idea, and the wpcap.dll should have been included in the zip.

If you are still interested, you can download WinPcap here. You can install WinPcap or just extract the both DLL files with a decompresser such as 7-zip.

As for FERRET, however, I’d just take it as information for the future and leave it this time.
