In some of my Eudora mailboxes I found Seeker-I and Kak-B virus.
I would rather not delete the whole mailbox as there are emails in there I want to keep. I tried removing all the ones with attachments but the virus is still there. I tried creating new mailboxes and slowly moving emails out of the infected one and testing but I have not been able to identify the particular email. It seems like there is more than one virus.
Is there a way that I can scan within the mailbox and locate just the infected emails?
thanks
Mark
Hi,
the avast report/log should clarify things:
in the full path of the infected file, you might even find the emails subject, thus you can identify it…
If not, try this:
a)
read up the virus description and try to identify the mails via size/subject; Link to “VirusInfo” below in my Sig.
b)
with emailscan & autoclean enabled; pause avast shields for this…
