"[Select]" option on code windows in the forum

I noticed this when posting my other thread on the forum earlier, which is that whenever I put something between code tags and it shows up as a box/window with inserted text, and above it there’s clickable “[Select]” text, and whenever I put my mouse over it it gives “javascript:void(0);” in down left corner the same place link previews are places. However if I click it, nothing happens. I came a bit curious what that function is about and what it’s supposed to do. :o

If you click [Select] whats inside the code tags will be marked blue so you can right click and copy it, or Ctrl+C

If that has something to do with Javascript, coul Noscript somehow deny it?
