Please could you explain the process i would need to go through in order to completely remove my Avast installation from my PC that i am selling in the next week, so that i may install the software on a brand new laptop that will be replacing the desktop pc as my personal computer.
i have paid for 2 years so i still would be able to protect my laptop for a further year and a half before renewing again.

Delet avast though add remove program’s then run the uninstall tool in safe mode that you can find on the page where you placed this post.
Download the version of avast that you need to your new system and reboot then you can add the license file that you were supplied.
wont the IP come up different on the new laptop? and thus as a 2nd computer on the account,
do i not have to inform someone at avast??
do u mean running windows safe mode from F8 menu at startup?
