I am getting more and more frustrated by Avast, when I update the program.
Last time it was updated, my wife spent a day trying to reactivate the sending ability of outlook.
now t seems to be my turn.
I have stopped the scanning of outgoing emails, but I still cannot send them
does anyone have any other ideas as to how I can get Avast to allow emails to be sent - I am just minutes away from removing avast alltogther

it says something along the line of “Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing(SMPT) e-mail server. If it continues …”
I do not know what the “OS” means

I had such a problem with Thunderbird. And got a hint to deactivate virus checks at sending emails.
Problem was solved … and there is no reason to check mails during sending from a clean system.
