I wish avast team answer with the speed you want/need, specially on weekends : :
agreed. Virus/worms sender don’t stops after friday afternoon…
My own personal take on this is if you just send them zipped, password protected to the usual address they compete with the rest of the 4000+ emails per day received at that address. I usually add the samples to the avast chest, user files section and send them from there.
Samples sent from the avast! chest first don’t have to be zipped, etc. and they are filtered upon receipt, hopefully separating them from the crowd and gaining a higher priority. You could also use the ftp method of submitting samples that should have a similar effect of being distinguished from the crowd.
I’m just curious to know if the average of 4,000 emails per day is still there…
I mean, are there that many avast users that submit that amount of samples?
It’s just hard to believe… but if they say so…
Avast has many users so I find it easy to believe, this would be a good time to introduce the new submittion system
As Avast gets more popular its going to become harder to handle :o
Al968
nearly all antivirus scanner listed on http://www.virustotal.com/ can detect the samples I sent to avast.
I’m very disappointed that it takes so long to supply an update.
