Use “Disc Cleanup” from your Accessories Before allowing deletion, make sure the dump files aren’t huge (like as big as your hard disc) Now delete. If the total gigs are out of sight, you have major corruption and a clean install of the OS, not just a reinstall is needed.

What are you talking about. I haven’t deleted anything, the amount of space used on my hard drive is shrinking. The amount of free space is growing. For no apparent reason, I haven’t deleted anything recently.
Lots of Windows explorer crashes.
It shrank, another 2gb just disappeared. I haven’t noticed files go missing yet.
Strange…just strange…y’know? :o
Are you using vista? I remember I had a problem on when running vista once. HDD space would just disappear and I had no idea why… It turned out to be windows making restore points (or shadow copies) like every 10 minutes. I had around 70 gigs worth of them! It made me mad. I just reformatted and I was good to go.
This may be similar to your problem but it is hard to tell. Just something to think about.
Full scan with up-to-date mbam has nothing. I use vista and i don’t have the same problem because GIGS ARE DISAPPEARING AS IN THE AMOUNT OF SPACE USED IS SHRINKING
THE AMOUNT OF USED SPACE ON THE DISK IS SHRINKING. ANOTHER 2GB DISAPPEARED THAT’S 4GB TODAY
Couldn’t possibly be Windows routinely compressing files, could it?
Are you able to account for any missing data? That is; have you noticed any files missing?
Try a scan disk for errors.
Something is a bit wrong, if you are getting crashes.
I haven’t noticed missing files.
Alsofull scan with mbam and full scan with SAS detect nothing at all.
So why do you (seem) to think it’s malware-related?
look to other causes.
Scandisk would be a good start, I’d think.
A look at the eventviewer to see what the crashes are related to would be another good place to look. (Don’t ask me to decipher the codes, though!)
My HDD will fall and will rise from time to time…Now worries though…Its not that serious…
Yesterday, I have 221 GB left from drive C…Now, I have 231 GB…hmm now thats strange…
Just ignore it^^

Logos,Now Brother,that is just mean.(kinda of a wink,not really)
@+AdDicT+
Your saying your hdd space free dropped by 10gb in 1day?
Well anyways you know how SAS is by default set to ignore non .exe files and files larger then 4mb?
I turned those features off and did a full scan. Nothing was detected but a cookie. Mbam full scan detects nothing and same with avast.
Look at this screen shot
If I right click and click properties for all files in the pic below and I add up size on disk for each files (hidden files are turned on) I get now were near the amount of space supposedly taken up on my drive.
In the picture of my c:\ drive were it says 277gb used to be 281gb few days ago.
Still can’t account for missing files.

I recall one instance were after a windows explorer crash avast ball disappeared.
Windows explorere crashes seems to have stopped.
Haven’t seen any crashes.
