Good job pavels and avast! team !!! But a little thing would be to maybe unpin this beta topic ? ;D
I am using Mozilla Firefox. There is an update but it seems to say that Avast will not work with this update. Is this correct?
It isn’t that avast doesn’t work with firefox 6.0, but the WebRep.
However, your question is unrelated to this topic unless you are using the Server version of avast which I rather doubt. So this question should have been in the avast! Free/Pro/Suite forum http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2.0. A search of which for webrep and firefox 6 would find this.

Please help. I am a bit confused. I am currently using SERVER Edition 4.8 for my Windows Server 2003. It’s doing a great job. I need to renew the license before Oct. 10, 2011. Can I just go ahead and renew the license for SRV4.8 or do I have to uninstall SRV 4.8 and then purchase a new version or program, then install this new one?
I believe that if you renew the existing license, when you upgrade to the latest server version you should be able to convert the new license to the latest version. I would however, check this out with sales (at) avast (dot) com, as they should know what the procedure is.
Good luck in getting sales or tech support to respond to you. I have had problems with the licensing with them for over a month now with no resolutions. They only seem to respond if you are about to give them money but once they have your money you are just yelling into the void for support.
Avast has served me well for the last 3 years. If I don’t hear from them soon, I will have no other option but to switch to other product. They will lose my business. That’s a shame.
I have installed this version with the most recent engine & virus defintions(replacing 4.8 ) on one of the XenApp Servers (XenApp 5.5 on Server 2008 SP2) in our Citrix Farm. We are experiencing an issue that we did with releases of 5.x Pro (but are not in 6.x Pro) for the desktop machines, in which when the Real-Time Web Shield is running it loads very slow and usually times out all websites (browser displaying that the page could not be displayed). It is very inconsistent, but when it does load it is usually slow in loading (and then you browse to the next page/site and it times out.)
The rest of the servers in my XenApp farm still running with 4.8 are not having the issue. And obviously we cannot run without the Web Shield running and expect full protection, so I will have to revert back to 4.8.
Any clue of what this could be? Again we had this issue in 5.x Pro but not 6.x Pro, so I’m disappointed this issue has returned. Is there any known incompatibilities with firewalls or web filter appliances?
Thanks!
Has anyone successfully converted their 4.8 licences to the new version and if so how did you do it?
OK, I checked with our reseller and our current licence can be used with BPP, licence file was accepted at beginning of installation.

+1
I too had bought a license for ADNM.
During the installation of BP I’ve inserted the license file and it was accepted
