My laptop had a folder under ELAN Service that had several files with video recordings of activities on my Laptop. It also contained small programs.
I have avast! Premier on my Win8 and am using Firefox.
Should Avast not be tracking and protecting against this type of logging? ANy suggestions for what to do to increase protection?

Besides that, there is nothing wrong if a application is logging things only on your own system.
Why using FireFox?
Security flaw in FF made it possible to easily find people that where using the TOR network.
