Set up Account Sync, still getting 'Please wait' message

Hi, all. I set up the account sync on my Avast Browser this morning in the hopes off accessing my bookmarks/password manager on a new PC. It’s been almost two hours, and I’m still seeing the message 'Please wait…" Having not had a reason to sync accounts prior to this, I’m unsure if this is the standard wait time. Should I still be receiving this message (I’ve attached a screenshot of what I’m seeing)?

For context, both the laptop and PC I’m using Avast Browser on are running Windows 11. I do not currently have a firewall up (as the Avast Support FAQ suggested this might be an issue), and the browser on each device is the most recent, up to date version.

I was able to re-create the issue you mentioned, and believe, it should be fixed now.
Could you please confirm it is working on your side too now?

In case it’s not working, diagnostic information from secure://settings/diagnosticInfo could help us finding the real issue.

The issue appears resolved on both computers now, and I’m able to access my bookmarks on the new PC.

First I would suggest you ensure that you have the latest version of the Avast Secure Browser - New browser version 121.0, released at the start of February - see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=326051.0

I don’t use the the Avast Secure Browser, so can’t speak from personal experience.

After singn out and sign back in
