set up email alerts

hi all,

can anyone help guide me through the email alert set up process? Im completely stuck… Im running avast free version 8.0.1489 on win7 ultimate, my email client is ms outlook 2010 configured to my icloud account which works fine. but no matter what i configure the avast email alert settings to i cannot get it to work. any ideas?

many thanks for that but unfortunately i have just tried port (465) to no avail :frowning: avast just froze

any other suggestions? all help appreciated…
