Setting auto-analysis for USB storage devices

Hi.

I’am new in this foroum. Sorry by my ortographic errors.

I have avast 4.8 pro. I would like to know how to configure an auto-analysis task in the server for all clients that conect an USB theirs PC.

Thanks

I don’t really know if there is a way with the current version. Perhaps it will be a possibility in the new version that’s supposed to come out this month, but we haven’t heard anything concrete yet.

I do know that the default resident task will scan any file that is opened, which would include auto-exec behavior for CD’s and Flash drives.

I was looking at the options of the default resident task, and I couldn’t really create a task for scanning “an inserted drive, or removable media” of sorts.

The only option that I know of that deals with removable media is a setting on the computer catalog, which requires that removable disks must be checked/removed before logging off or shutting down the system. Apparently, this would prevent an accidental boot from the potentially infected drive, but that doesn’t stop someone from unplugging the drive, restarting the computer, then re-inserting the drive.

I was also asking some question to my provider about it. He couldn’t answer me, told me He was going to look. I was reading next version of the software will include that option, and in fact is that way, but no for ADNM yet. If you read someting different or new about this, please let me know.

Thank you bye your answer.
