settings for virus alerts in real time

I do not know what settings to use to make avast alert me when a virus is detected in real time, not just when i use it to scan my computer.

Hi,

if you installed the avast Shield (standard-setting) then this is done automatically (that’s what the little blue/white a-ball is there near the clock); except for archives (ZIP, RAR etc…)

→ test it with the harmles testfile eicar.COM from www.eicar.com

If you want to be more secure(for me eicar test file wasn’t detected before setting standart shield to high)set standart shield to high.The blue ball icon near the clock double click with the left button select standart shield and high.If you are using v4.6 don’t worry about viruses from internet
