Settings in the new Firefox 3.5

Dear Avast Forum,

Is ‘Never remember history’ the best setting in the new Firefox 3.5 to ensure no browsing unwanted internet cache is retained?

Or are the below settings more optimal?

Either: ‘Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session’

Or: ‘Clear history when firefox closes’

The previous version of Firefox enabled ‘all cache to be cleared’ at the end of each browsing session.

Thanks

It’s a matter of ‘users choice’.
I clear my cache at the end of the day using CCleaner.

Is there any way to do it automatically? Schedule? Command-line parameters?

Tools->Options->Advanced->Network tab

or Tools - Clear Recent History - Details - Cache. Just pick the time range you want to clear.

I’m talking about CCleaner… ::slight_smile:

Sorry about that. I use KCleaner to clear the FF cache. KCleaner has an automatic mode and is free - http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?kcleaner

What you want is:

Tools - Options - Privacy - Clear history when FF closes - Choose Settings to the right of the last one

The heading is now: ’ When I quit Firefox…’

One of the options here is cache.

Hope this helps
Regards
HL

Edit:Sammos suggestions do the same, but if you want it done automatically when FF closes,
this is usable.
