No it isn’t a default setting - If you read the text below that setting you would or should be able to tell that.
I don’t know how you could allow someone else to change your settings (apply a password), since someone has changed your settings, you could use the Restore factory defaults and uncheck the one you don’t want reset.
That is nothing more than coincidence, a repair won’t reset the default settings, it retains the settings that you have.
Comodo D+ changed nothing in your avast settings it is that simple.
