Settings Vista firewall for Avast 7 (solved)

Hello !
I’ve just installed Avast 7. I noticed that the firewall of Vista doesn’t allow Avast to search for updates. Can someone tell me what program should be authorized in the firewall ?
My configuration : Vista sp 2, 64 bits

“avast.setup”, “AvastSvc.exe”, “AvastEmUpdate.exe” and “AvastUI.exe”

Thank you for your answer. Its’ ok for “AvastSvc.exe”, “AvastEmUpdate.exe” and “AvastUI.exe”.
But I can’t find “avast.setup”. I displayed all the files. I made a search. I reinstall Avast. But there is no avast.setup. Any idea ?
My Avast is 7.0.1456.418.

Avast.setup is created during Avast updates (from avast.ovr) and is located in Setup subdirectory of Avast installation directory.
Need Internet access to perform updates.

You will not, as you say, find it when seeking for it.

In my ZA firewall I have avast.setup listed, but I suppose you have Vista firewall,
so unsure what to set in Vista firewall.
Let’s wait for more info from someone with experience with Vista fw settings.

It’s enough to enable all to avast.setup when your firewall asks about that file. When the file finishes its work, it will disappear but the permission will be left in the firewall.

The problem is that Viata firewall doesn’t ask for anything.

If you want your Vista firewall asks, then install Windows 7 Firewall Control. This is some sort of control window for Windows built-in firewall. The paid version allows more options to control your firewall.

Googling a little gave this for avast.setup outbound in Vista/7 firewall:

%ProgramFiles%\Avast Software\Avast\Setup\avast.setup allow TCP out port 80.

(I use Win7 FW with outbound protection on one machine, but have never created a rule
for a non-existent process like this  )

HTH

With your help, I finally found the solution. When creating a new rule in Vista firewall, instead of searching the file “Avast.setup” in the list, I directly wrote "%ProgramFiles%\Avast Software\Avast\Setup\avast.setup " as authorized program. Now it works, Avast is able to search for updates.
Thank you for your help !

Nice to hear, glad I could help.

And btw, welcome to the Avast! forums.
