I have just download Avast Free which has updated to the newest version.

I have been through the Cloud Settings and disabled the “Community Settings” yet at the top of the program I still have a “Share” button

How can I hide/remove this travesty and if possible also the Upgrade button

You can’t.

In that case the program will have to be immediately uninstalled and replaced with something more reputable and less obtrusive
