I’ve recently switched from OE 6 to Foxmail. But Avast doesn’t seem to be scanning when I’m sending/ recieving. Can someone please explain tio me how to setup the resident scanner?

Ler, why don’t you try the Mail Protection Wizard, choosing the option of manually configuring the email accounts? Maybe the help file could guide you. The configuration must be similar between the two applications:
pop or smtp server: 127.0.0.1
username: YourName#YourPopServerAddress
Password: ****
If you need authentication:
smtp server: #YourSmtpServerAddress
Check the box for remembering the password but let the ‘password’ blank.
