But this fails to explain why Demon Internet and other ISPs are preventing some users from accessing the entire archive.
A strange distortion of history, later they can deny this content of 13 years existed, the solution is worse than the cure. “Predicted Orwellian censorship is coming to a place near you”
This Government is introducing or trying to introduce some very Big Brother stuff and personally I wouldn’t put anything past them or twisting the arm of ISPs to do their bidding, like having a central database (or something like that).
That way they can access as part of their we want to record all communications info (supposedly not content), emails from to, logon info like time IP address assigned, web sites visited, etc. etc. without having to seek a court order for them to release it.
I honestly haven’t got a clue what all this is about, the so called blacklist, etc. etc. so I really don’t know why ISP would block whatever it is they are blocking or why they would do it, if it is government pressure or just worried about getting sued, I really don’t know.
I tried to read theregister article but I’m afraid it sent me to sleep, not unusual for theregister articles, frequently boring, technical, hard to read, so I generally don’t bother with the sire
I think cod head is making a very good point here. Yes, and when you come to think about what he says, and why that is so, I quess in our heart of hearts we all know the answer to that, as that is also the answer to what was posted initially, sad but true, it is all has to do with what is proftable, and where certain interests are concerned,
