severe problems with internet explorer (Win7 64Bit)

The last weeks with avast internet security I had two major problems around the internet explorer:

  • opening a new tab often resutlts in the error message “Ein Problem ist aufgetreten. Internet Explorer funktioniert nicht mehr”. (No Problems with Firefox)
  • connecting to my company via Citrix (only with internet explorer possible) was blocked.

After replacing avast by Microsoft Essentials everything works fine.

Any idea how I could fix the problem within Avast?
