The later pre-release builds from 6.0.1044 I think, the latest pre-release version is 6.0.1086, see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=76349.0.

Whilst this is a pre-release build so far it is pretty stable, but it has only recently been released. So if you aren’t comfortable with that you may have to wait for its regular release.

You really need to get SP3 for XP and then make sure you have all the updates.
