Hi,
this happens to me at least twice a week (SORRY, TYPO: HAPPENS ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS). I turn off avast web shield, then it turns itself on on its own without any action on my part. Any ideas?
BTW i have to turn it off because sometimes it throttles my web connection too much. tried everything, nothing worked. i just live with it.

It is by design that when you turn the shield(s) off, they get enabled again after 3(?) minutes.
Turning them off again make them stay off.
Thanks for your reply, but you are wrong. You can choose for how long any shield should stay OFF. When you choose “until the computer is restarted” and the shield restarts on its own w/o restart, then something does not work right.
