I think this might be the right place to post this…? o.o
Cant turn on; “ File System Shield “, “ IM Shield “, or “ P2P Shield “ on my Free Antivirus by Avast. What do I do? I have the account setup and everything, but when I click on “ Turn on “… Nothing happens.
And if i try to log on to the Internet, after a while… everything starts to like freeze. And i’m forced to push the button on the tower to shut it off. What is happening?
Repair avast!:
- Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
- Click on ‘Repair’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
Control on my computer? Or on the AVAST? Because i’m not seeing a " Add / Remove Programs " tab on the AVAST. I see a Summary, Scan Computer, Real time Shields, Additional Protection, Maintenance, and Market.
- OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
… I have no clue what those numbers mean. o.o

OK, here are the instructions from Dave for W7, hope you understand them better. 
Vista, win7 - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Uninstall/Change and select Repair, click next and follow.
