Recently I accidentally opened a link which immediately downloaded malware with .scr format. Avast moved it to the virus chest as soon as it downloaded. I also scanned my computer with Malwarebytes just to be sure. It did not find any malware, however today I received an email that an unauthorized IP tried to log in to my Twitch account. Could it be that there is a spyware on my pc? Is it even possible that a malicious program could open by itself after downloading it?

Nothing evident showing, are you experiencing any problems
Thank you for reviewing. I’m glad that my computer is not infected. There are no problems, I was just worried because of that attempt to steal my Twitch account just a day after I opened that link.
