Should I stay connected to the internet when running a boot scan?

I am sorry, but I really don’t know if I should stay connected to the internet when I run a boot scan. Could someone please clarify?

Thanks!

Definitely not necessary … and depending on your system, you probably wouldn’t have connection anyway. Boot scan is similar to booting into safe mode in several ways, mainly in that much of Win isn’t yet loaded and active, which is the whole point of a boot scan.

When running a bootscan, the drivers for the internet adapter are not yet loaded.
That means there will be no internet connection during the scan.
