Early Vista was a nightmare for me as well and I could not wait to get Windows 7 and purchased it the day it was available on October 22, 2009 as I had my order in as soon as the availability date was announced.

I had bought a new Dell laptop just to get Vista. I really wanted to try something different than XP. What a mistake. Early Vista was a nightmare for me. I no longer have that laptop. I purchased one with Windows 7. The soon to be father in law now has that Dell laptop along with my old router. He has had no real problems with it since Vista is older now and the bugs worked out.

I love XP and so do millions of others. I even have a spare license.

I didn’t mention that not only did I want to change operating systems (when Vista was released) but that is when the dual core processors were showing up. The difference between the Pentium 4 processor which is on my XP desktop system and the dual core processor (on both laptops) is like night and day.

BTW, I like XP too. I was just ready to play with a new operating system.
