Sign of "Win32:Adloader-AC [Trj]

Okay, I trust Avast first! So here is the rest of the info: Sign of “Win32:Adloader-AC [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Users\Jordan\Documents\My Virtual Machines\Windows 7 Beta\Windows 7 Beta Hard Disk.vhd” file.

What the heck is going on? Is Windows 7 a Trojan? :stuck_out_tongue:

And this is my first post! Hello everyone!

Howdy Jordo009,

Look for an answer here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=39904.msg334377#msg334377

Thanks! Hopefully it will help.

(I hope so. I don’t want my Mom to be mad.)

EDIT: Umm… I somehow clicked Delete permanently. Is that okay?

Hi Jordo009,

I think your mom could rather be proud of you, seeking a solution for a probable flase positive.
We’d like to get the virustotal results on the file, and if indeed a fp, you should exclude it in avast, or it will be fixed with a later update of the scanner iAVS,

Okay, Thank you for your help.

Hi Jordo009,

is the actual file named “WindowsImageBackup.vhd” ?

if so it is a saved hard disk image from a virtual pc/server environment as i outlined earlier - someone just saved the file name as that. you’ll need to download and install either virtual pc or server to open this file - available on microsoft downloads site

virtual pc

If that’s the case, click Start, type Restore and choose Windows backup and Restore Centre

Click Advanced Restore link, Advanced Restore, and choose one of the 3 options and click Next and finish the Wizard.

I don’t think so. And I kinda never did backups… Is that bad?
