I have Avast in Silent Mode and it still kicks me out of games. It puts you in your desktop, quickly closes the windows it opened. Meanwhile my game is still going on… Bang, I’m dead. >:(
This is the type of User issue that makes you feel as if the makers of software don’t really care what you think as long as they show their product.
As stated in the original post, Silent Mode (in theory it is DND too) is on. I checked the Performance tab as per the link. There’s no switch like the link describes, but all four boxes available are/were checked.
I wasn’t disturbed today (over three hours time). My Win10 did restart my computer for updates, so maybe (or maybe not) that had something to do with it working correctly.
I’ll keep and eye on it and report back over the next week.
I start with no Avast windows open. Program Windows (at least two) that Avast opens then closes quickly on my Desktop causing focus to jump to the Desktop. I also see Avast’s icon open for a split second in Win10 Tasktray.
Looking at Avast’s History screen it may have been caused by an unsolicited SmartScan.
That’s what my Do Not Disturb Mode screen selections are (although the boxes and checkmarks look slightly different on my screen). Avast program is up to date. (ver 19.8.2393 - build 19.8.4793.544)
I haven’t been bothered by this for several days now. BUT… Happy Xmas it just kicked me out of game to the desktop. >:P
It’s just so annoying. Short of filming my screen till it happens I’m not sure if there’s anymore input to this problem I can offer. It’s just an empty Avast window (no text) with a progression circle (or countdown circle for one second max) that goes around once then the window closes leaving me on the desktop.
