Since 2005 false positives with PIA's ruby

Two issues:

  1. I use Private Internet Access, and Avast Free keeps telling me re: PIA’s Ruby w.exe/Ruby interpreter
“One of your programs is behaving strangely, which could be a sign of malware.”

This is a false positive which Avast has apparently been wrong on since 2006 (based on a search of this forum).

It’s possible that someday my computer or another PIA user’s computer will get a virus that will affect PIA’s ruby w.exe program, and that virus warning by Avast will unfortunately be ignored by myself and most other PIA users because of all the false positives Avast keeps finding.

Can’t this be corrected after 11 years? Contact PIA to resolve?

  1. So often when there is an Avast warning, the popup showing the Path cuts off and there is no way to expand the popup to be able to read the full path. This is valuable information missing.
Is there a way to be able to read the complete information?

Is it the exact same file? Has the file changed these 11 years?
