I downloaded the AVAST internet pro series at 29.95 for 1 year /// 3 days ago /// and ever since the Firefox is screwed. I constantly have to kill the pid to get 1 screen of firefox . I unloaded the AVAST but still having problems!!! Give me back the credit to my account and get me out of this nightmare!!! My wife will not let up until I gt this fixed!!! Your support SUCKS!
1st, sounds like we have a inexperienced user trying to “fix” something he knows nothing about. Don’t blame Avast for problems your probably causing.
2nd, Why don’t you be more productive with your posts, explain problems in detail and explain what happens step by step rather then coming on here yelling and saying it’s a nightmare.
If you stop slow down and smell the roses you can appreciate them more. You sir need to chill and explain what the problem is and hopefully someone here can help you, guide you and figure out what your problem is.
Heck they might even have you post log files or even run some tests to help you help us figure out whats going on.
Your support SUCKS!how do you know....you just posted here ;)
what antivirus did you have before avast ?
did you uninstall it before installing avast ?
did you use a removal tool to clear any leftover files that may conflict ?
Please be a little more detailed in the technical term, firefox is scr3w3d ?
Avast doesn’t make changes to how firefox operates (I use firefox 11.0 on this system without problem), having uninstalled avast! and the problem persists, would tend to suggest the problem lies elsewhere. But that would need further investigation and why others have also asked questions.
What operating system and version of firefox is being used ?
What happens if your wife uses the firefox safe mode (starts up with no add-ons running) from the Start, All Programs, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode) ?
I disagree. Avast caused the issues after boot. firefox ver 5.0
Update your FF…!! The latest version is 11.
Well, you already uninstalled Avast! (that is what you mean by “unloaded”, correct?), so I guess it could have failed to uninstall correctly.
If so, run this according to instructions listed>>http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility , there is even a little text box there for you to get mad at.
Have a Nice Day!
