Today I went to Google to find info about one Dropbox email address, and first search result was a topic on offical Dropbox forum, but Avast Online Security had marked it with red icon with exclamation mark, which to my understanding means that people have given it very bad reputation. However, when I incerted “site:www.dropboxforum.com” into my search, the same forum topic link appeared as first result again, it had normal AOS green icon.
EDIT: I just noticed Quttera has quite lot of reports for dropboxforum.com related to phishing:
Are you talking about links in bottom of “Google1” attachment image? If so, no, really they’re not related, actually I’m not sure why I left them there.
I have to guess here, but if those links are not the same it can be why one search shows red and the other green.
I sure would like to see a explanation from avast about this.
This is rather interesting. It seems whenever I search something Dropbox oriented on Google and if the result page as dropboxforum.com forum link, teh yseem to appear with red AOS warning icon, but when doing “site:dropboxforum.com” search, everything appears normal green.
EDIT: funny thing, when I went to wuickly Google the search that gave me the red marked dropbox forum link and I right-clicked to copy it, it suddenly turned green when AOS icons upgraded themselves when I moved from browser tab of Google search results to other tab.
I think that [i]dropboxforumcom/hc/en-us/ was misclassified (red label), while another variant (such as dropboxforum[.]com/hc/fi-fi/) might have been ok.
I removed the classification form the domain now, so it should be ok shortly
