This is regarding the SingularLabs Uninstaller Tools in the link in Bob’s Siggy.
I had no problem with the McAfee Removal Tool and the Norton Removal Tool.
But, I seem to be having problems downloading the CA Removal Tool.
And that just happened to be the actual Anti-Virus that the computer that I am borrowing from my sister had. I think I did a rather thorough job removing it via the Add / Remove function, followed by CCleaner, Glary Utilities and JetClean … followed by manual visual searching around in various Folders.
And after doing that and using the McAfee and Norton Removal Tools … avast appears to be working fine. But, I’d still like to if possible run the CA Removal Tool just to make sure. Can anyone confirm that there is a problem downloading the CA Removal Tool?
And what’s up with the Webroot Removal Tool? For starters, nothing really seemed to happen when I tried to download the Tool. Then I clicked on the “Alternate Tool” there. Then something really weird happened. The next thing I knew, there was a window informing me that to remove avast, I had to run the Uninstall Tool or something. I was, “WHAT??? What the heck? I was nowhere near trying to uninstall avast or even trying to download the avast Uninstall Tool.”
WHY could that window have popped up? Could that Webroot “Alternate Tool” possibly be infected?
