Sirefef.FB.Gen trojan help!

I was recommended by a friend to come check out this site to get help with my recent virus problems. A few days ago I got a popup from Nod32 about an alert and I haven’t been able to figure out how to get rid of it. I’ve run Malwarebytes and the Nod32 scan, but neither will take it away. I tried creating a HiJackThis log as I’ve seen in other posts, but when I do that I get a message that pops up. I’ve attached an image of the message from HJT and the alert that won’t leave my computer screen. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thank you in advance.

HJT is pretty pointless against this infection. Please attach all logs

CREATERESTOREPOINT

[*]Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
[*]Post both logs

THEN

Download aswMBR.exe ( 4.8mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it Click the “Scan” button to start scan

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

Here are the files. I uninstalled NOD32 before running ComboFix because there seemed to be some crossover on it ComboFix didn’t like. The message about the virus is gone, but I don’t have any Antivirus installed currently. Computer seems to be running smooth though.

Could you now reinstall your antivirus and then let me know how it is behaving

I just installed avast  and everything is working good. System look ok from those last logs?

Yep looks good now ;D

Run as normal, and if all is good tomorrow let me know and I will remove the tools used

Thank you! I’ll post tomorrow that all is still good hopefully. Happy 4th!

Ah yes the 4th the day we finally got shot of the upstarts ;D ;D

Everything is looking and running good over here. If there are some software removal steps let me know. Otherwise, thank you again for your help.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

[*]Select folder options (Appearance > Folder options in category view)
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
