Why avast blocks the site www.tiscali.it
Test the tiscali url is confirmed clean at: https://www.virustotal.com or other verification tool?
If confirmed clean, then send to Avast as a suspected False Positive, using: Choose Your Sample Submission Type | Avast
Note: I am not an Avast Team Member, just another user.
virustotal says it’s clean
now sending to avast
thanks a lot
You might have noticed that Avast doesn’t do on-demand scans for websites at VT.
It might also be worth checking the site against, these sites can also check a site link.
I am Italian and I do not speak English, I use a translator
with en.internet.nl I get this
None of the name servers of your domain has an IPv6 address.
with sitecheck.sucuri I get this
Site Issue
404 Not Found
Site is not Blacklisted
9 Blacklists checked
with the cell phone under the same network with avast free I have no problems
with en.internet.nl I get this
- [Not reachabwith en.internet.nl I get thisle via modern internet address, or improvement possible (IPv6)]
- [Failed :Not all domain names signed (DNSSEC)]
- [Failed :Not all authenticity marks against email phishing (DMARC, DKIM and SPF)]
- [Error :Untestable mail server (STARTTLS and DANE)]
- [Passed :Authorised route announcement (RPKI)]
until 10 days ago everything was working
Regarding security, IPv6 has a definitive edge over its predecessor. With built-in IPSec support and improved data integrity, IPv6 provides a more secure foundation for internet communication. Unlike IPv4, IPv6 allows for configuring integrity settings, further enhancing its security capabilities.
This could be considered a weakness.
I’m able to reach tiscali.it and no avast alert, so I don’t know if the Alert has been removed.
You could try this link (which skips /en(dot) part I don’t know if that just doesn’t select English or not.
Too bad! Your website is not reachable for visitors using a modern internet address (IPv6), or improvement is possible. Therefore your website is not part of the modern Internet yet. You should ask your hosting provider to fully enable IPv6.
Too bad! Your domain is not signed with a valid signature ([DNSSEC]Too bad! Your domain is not signed with a valid signature (DNSSEC). Therefore visitors with enabled domain signature validation, are not protected against manipulated translation from your domain into rogue internet addresses. You should ask your name server operator (often your registrar and/or hosting provider) to enable DNSSEC.
I wrote to avast
I’m not entirely sure how this may help, given I can visit it with Firefox and Avast Web Shield enabled and no avast alert.
A screenshot of how Avast is blocking this, with the See details option selected might help us get a reason why.
EDIT - In Firefox I have the setting in Privacy and Security set to “Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows”
That isn’t an Avast Alert Window, Web Shield Screen Shot I was expecting. See example of what the WebShield Alert looks like - this is from a test file (not harmful) that is in the Avast Virus Database to test Avast is working.
I don’t know what this may be, a conflict, but what with I’m not sure.
You could try the Firefox Setting I mentioned which in effect forces a secure connection and see if that makes a difference.
Hi
I set up firefox as you told me but it didn’t work.
avast doesn’t indicate errors but the site doesn’t open
I wrote to Avast for a “false positive” but I didn’t receive a response
the site and emails work today
Ordinarily you wouldn’t receive a direct response from Avast - but as Avast Isn’t actually alerting on the site. That shouldn’t have changed anything.
The only thing I can thing of is some sort of conflict between the sites coding and the Web Shield.
That said I was able to connect to the site using Firefox,my default browser and Avast Antivirus Free.
Fortunately whatever it was has now been resolved.
Anyway thank you very much
You’re welcome.
