I saw that there are many talented skin makers for avast!,I wonder If one of them could make a mozilla firefox based skin.I (and the other firefox fans) would apreciate it :slight_smile:

Well there are only two very talanted. Martin (Alwil team) and Sasha.
Me and Darren also contibuted few skins,but thats all.
Give the suggestion to Sasha,maybe he’ll create such skin.

First of all, I have to correct RejZor… Darren and RejZor are very talented guys and they proved that with their skin creations. No doubt, great skinners… so, as you all can see, it’s not all about me and Martin, we also have some other great skinners in here… it’s just, they are not so active as two of us, that’s all.

@Napster - I am sorry, but I’m afraid I don’t get it… Firefox style skin ? Firefox has many many different faces (skins), so practically there is no standard Firefox skin.

We could call that “standard” Firefox skin, but that looks rather plain Windows XP styled skin than something extra-Firefox-special style to me… I already created one skin, actually it’s called “RejZor-Sharp by SZCraftec”, and it’s kind a 100% Windows XP styled skin. I really don’t see anything speciall in Firefox graphic design, therefore nothing to “imitate”… ??? …or… maybe… you meant on something else ?

Well if we are gonna make requests, I have one to.
A Ferrari (Enzo) skin. I want to try it myself but have Paint Shop Pro and no clue on what needs to be created.
The help for PhotoShop is of no use to me.

Haha, good one… does that mean that kubecj like plain stuff ? Like, he still keeps his Windows XP in Windows 98 visual style mode ? ;D

You keep asking for that skin… are you in love with red birds ;D ? I don’t understand… what is so confusing ? Paintshop Pro, or Photoshop, or Fireworks, or any other paint program… still the same. I even created some parts of few skins in plain Windows paint, without those fancy effects… it was fastest solution when I had to add something new… much faster than starting Fireworks or Photoshop. There is nothing speciall in creating parts of the skin, it’s just, there is million of little parts that needs to be created. You don’t need any speciall program to do that. You can do that with any program that you choose, and there are no instructions out there on how to draw and design. You have to have that in your brain before you start, you have to create idea first, and then build everything else. Procedure for creating parts of the skin (drawing pictures) is exactly the same regardless of which paint program you decide to use…

Well, this could be “touchy” to play with. First of all, Firefox has nothing to do with avast!

Firefox is a web browser, and avast! is an antivirus program… two completely different software houses. avast! “wearing” Firefox logo could invoke some additional problems IMHO. Firefox logo is copyrighted I believe, and putting it on avast! GUI could produce additional problems for me, Alwil, and many others… It’s same as if I take Coca Cola sign and logotype and stick it to some of avast! skins… looooooots of problems my friend, lots of problems…
