Sky Go

I have been using Sky Go for over a year now with no problem, however, from today Avast is telling me a suspicious file has been blocked and I cannot open the program. The suspicious file is Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]. Anybody help as I don’t want to change AV.

Avast 2014 has a built in file submission system and the Suspecious file should be in the virus vault or alternative you can email to them virus at avast dot com
Put your subject line as “False Positive” without the quotes and put as much information you want about your problem. Normally, we would get a reply from them but sometimes they don’t as they just fix it in the next VPS update.

Or you can use this http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

Staticguy Thanks for the advice, have submitted to Avast, will see what happens.

Your Welcome!

I am experiencing exactly the same problem with sky go. Have also informed Avast. Hope it’s fixed soon!

Further to my last post I have uninstalled latest version (9.0.2006) of avast, and installed the older version 8.0.1497 from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/. Sky go seems to be working ok. Probably not the most satisfactory soultion but at least I can now watch Sky Go with no apparent problems, at least until Avast sort out the problem with the latest version!
P.S. I have also selected manual updates on the Avast menu so that it doesn’t auto update to the latest version.
P.P.S. A reboot is probably adviseable between uninstall and install proceedures.
