Slammed by spams. Using Avast Exchange Shield and Outlook add-ins.

Installed the Avast Exchange Shield two weeks ago and had previously installed the Outlook add-ins. Watched and set spam on as many spam emails for the past two weeks. This weekend we were slammed by most of the spam emails going into the users inboxes. I would hope that this isn’t expected behavior. I had done my diligence for finding a good anti-spam filter, then this. Has anyone else experienced issues with spam emails flooding through using Avast? If so, any fixes, or do I have to start over and find a better product?
