but my "Reboot " times are very-slow, and I suspect its avast,
after reboot, on the taskbar, the Little-red-avastball stops twirling alot after reboot, so Im suspecting its scanning all my tsr’s??
I went to settings and set avast to load last, but that didnt stop the ball from stopping-alot after startup
[I suspect its scanning when the ball stops rolling??]
Is there any way to tell that Little-ball to take a break, and let my tsr’s load??
,
and yes, I have the “Full payed-for Registered” version of Internet security!
any tips, helps, would be appreciated!!
Thnx!!
John.
Have you tried excluding those tsr,s within avast at all.
Another option could be to use something like autoruns and stop avast from running at start up but of course this leaves your start up unprotected so its maybe a last resort.
yes I have the box checked, thank you for tip anyway IROC thats appreciated!!
<<It is the other way around. When Avast! icon spins, it is checking files.>>
I wondered if I had that backwards,Thnx again!!
I just need a small tutorial on hoto get avast not-to scan [exclude] the tsr’s.
a small tutorial from anyone would be appreciated!!
What OS, Spk, bit ?
Your PC set up; CPU speed, RAM, … ?
Which Avast! version ?
How did you uninstall last AV ?
What other security programs are you running now ?
To exclude files and programs in the File System Shield. See image below
You can also do the same for Behavior Shield to include files and programs as trusted processes.
However, this may leave your system at risk since Avast! will not analize those files or programs. So you may try it but if nothing changes remember to delete those exclusions.
