slow running

I did post before but can’t find teh post anymore? In any event I did all I could per suggestions but it was still slow. I ended up delteing avast now its all ok so it it avast causing the slowdown. Any suggestion other than using another program. Any other good FREE AV programs? thanx PG

Until you remove your previous AV, you’ll always have problems.

I removed all previous AV programs. When I deleted Avast NO problems, I reinstalled and pc was slow again. anybody have any suggestions for a free AV program that won’t screw up my pc?? Thanx PG
