The network clients are connecting and disconnecting like blinking christmas lights when looking at the Admin Network Group view display. When I first set everything up all the end point clients connected and stayed connected all the time. Now 9 or fewer are connecetd at any one time and the ones connected change every few seconds. Even the local machine wasn’t connecting to the server.
Also the Avast.Sbc>service.exe process is sometimes growing to use 6GB of memory. After restarting it seems to be holding constant at 1.3 GB.
Hi,
are you sure you’re still using this old versione of SOA console?
Please update to the newer version 1.2.2.28 by going into the console, ADMIN->about avast->check updates or downkoad the installation package here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=101245.0
I have the same problem on our server running SOA, with the Avast.SBC.Service.exe process taking over 7GB of memory and the clients exhibiting similar behavoiur in the SOA. After re-starting the process, everything settled, but memory allocation seems to be slowly increasing with CPU usage.
The SOA and the client versions are 1.2.2.28 and 7.0.1455 repectively, and Windows (SVR 2008 R2) is fully patched.
Schedule a batch file to stop and start the service once in a while when scan and maintenance jobs aren’t scheduled to run in the console itself (for us that is in the middle of the work day).
