Smart Scan History Log-Answered

I am running the latest version of Avast Free Antivirus.

I ran a manual (non-scheduled) Smart Scan but, after clicking ‘Scan History,’ it was not displayed.

Is it listed in another section of the Avast interface OR, unlike the Full Virus Scan log (which IS accessible under ‘Scan History’), SS is the result of multiple scans so there is not only ‘one log.’

As a result, viewing the log folder will show updates to multiple logs? If the log folder is the way to view it, how is it accessed?

Hi, advanced settings are available in Geek-Area: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Use-Antivirus-Geek-settings/

Asyn:

I am asking ‘how’ to view the Smart Scan results.

Clicking ‘Scan History’ lists the Full Virus Scan but not the Smart Scan.

Yes, that’s normal.

Sighs-I am asking ‘HOW’ to view the Smart Scan.

Follow the link in Reply #1, you can adjust it in GA.

I am familiar with Geek Area but ‘what’ setting within it needs to be changed so that I can view the results similar to the Full Virus Scan?

Scan History=Full Virus Scan results
‘Where’ do I navigate within the Avast interface to view Smart Scan results?

As said, Smart Scans aren’t listed there, but you can create a report file.

Thx.

As a piece of feedback to the developers, Smart Scan results (as well as the results of every other type of scan) should be as easily accessible as Full Virus Scan results.

I am surprised that it even has to be mentioned.

You’re welcome.
