Smart Scan Network Threats

Hello,

I’m using Program Current Version 12.3.2280 build 12.3.3154.0, Virus definitions 160823-0.

I don’t use Smart Scan often, but ran it on 21 August. It flags up Network Threats. On using the Resolve Button, there is a message that says my computer and router are O.K. then reverts back to showing I still have network threats.

Is there a bug? If not, can anyone suggest how I resolve this issue, please?

I am not sure what is the problem here.
Can you try : Avast - Scan - Scan for network threats , to see if that makes any difference ?

Hello Rednose,

Scanning just for network threats, I get a report that says “Congratulations your home network is secured”, then PC: No problems found with this device, followed by Router: No problems found on this device.

A retrial with Smart Scan still produces the report “You still have problems with your network” or words to this effect.

I have tablet which I’ve used on the network, but have not used this for some time as it has been running very slowly. Would that have had any effect?

Hi mandmafisher,

Could be a bug in Smart Scan, especially if you’ve changed the settings from default.

This tablet is on the network when you scan, or not?
