smart scan will not work....

I had pro and it was running out…so I tried to find my info for it…but didnt so after it ran out I just got the cheap version…and I guess you get what u pay for…cause smart scan wont scan…but when I had pro and the free version it was fine…I tried to contact someone on here but didnt hear back…anyone know how to remedy this? Thanks

hey kiea could you give some more information on this please what do you mean with the smart scan won’t work does it not do anything or what?

how did you down upgrde from pro to the free version?

The Smart Scan is also a part of the free version and works on my systems.

As suggested by mikaelrask this could be an issue in downgrading to the free version.

You could also try a repair of avast:
XP - Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and select Repair, click next and follow.

Vista, win7 or later - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Uninstall/Change and select Repair, click next and follow.

You may need to reboot after the repair.

When I run the scan its at 0% and never moves…When I had the pro…it was about to run out and I couldnt find my info to change my account info…and it ran out before I could get it…so I downloaded the free and then went to the 20 buck version from there…(didnt have a phone at the time so didnt call)

Gonna see what mikaelrask has to say then will try to fix it and if it wont work I guess i will have to jot my info down and uninstall and reinstall…
