The recent Avast upgrade seems to have replaced Quick Scan with Smart Scan which stops running at 70% completed every time. Anybody else seen this?

Repair Avast:

Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
Click on ‘Repair’.
Follow instructions.
Reboot.

If this is not a corruption issue.

The Smart Scan may well be set as the default, but there should be a drop down list (avastUI > Settings > Scan for viruses. This takes you into the Scanning section allowing you to A) select which scan to run and change the settings for the scan.

Thanks for replies. I’d assumed Smart Scan had replaced Quick Scan. Not the case as the latter is more hidden than previously but works OK, the former doesn’t work but I’ll leave it at that. Thanks.
