I have purchased Avast Premium and installed it on two PC’s…. However, when I run the “Status” programme they are different, One PC has Five sections, whilst the other PC only has three….
Why are they different?….

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member. I don’t have Avast Premium, but the Smart Scan is available on all versions of Avast for Windows. I can’t speak from personal experience as it is a very long time since I ran a Smart Scan (from memory) usually as a result of a question in the Community Forum.
That said you don’t mention the Five sections (so it is somewhat hard to answer), Vs the one that has only three (what is missing).
My general thoughts on the Smart Scan differ significantly from Avast.
ON DEMAND SCANS - With a resident (on-access) scanner the need for on-demand scans is much depreciated. For the most part dormant/inert files are being scanned, the other active files are going to be scanned by the resident shields when they are activated.
I include the Smart Scan in this category as at the end of it you are usually offered other Avast Paid programs
