Smartphone lost

Hi ! I’m new on this forum and I have a question : if lost or stolen phone and new owner this my smartphone not enter SIM with web traffic or not activate traffic data,wirelles,mobile network how can delete phone data ? Because not conect smartphone with my notebook
Understand that I will only send a message SMS with new phone number and GPS location ? So I can not delete data if no active internet connection ?

If you can wipe the data through SMS, then you should be fine to send commands through it to do such. SMS is part of the data network your phone company provides, and can’t be shut off directly.

If you’re not getting a response from the phone, it could be powered off. I would also recommend contacting your phone company and letting them know the phone has been stolen. This will prevent anyone from reactivating it on their network…however, make sure it is stolen first as this means you won’t be able to reactivate it, if found, either.
