In the last few days I’ve been getting this alert multiple times a day and I’m not even sure how. Never had this pop up before until then. File and printer sharing is turned off, I’m not on wifi, I’m not connected to a router, and my computer is the only device on the network. Also sometimes the listed IP is different.

How do I block specific ports in Windows 10? I don’t use Windows Firewall, just Avast.

Hi,

Please see this guide (it gives explanations and suggestions): https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Antivirus-Remote-Access-Shield-FAQ/#idt_080

These are the IPs blocked. After the top two it’s a long list of that same one. My computer is the ONLY device on my network. I’m not on wifi and not even plugged into a router. My concern was that it says it’s doing this through file and printer sharing but as far as I can tell that’s disabled.

Hi,

How did you disable file and printer sharing, through Avast Firewall settings? Can you add a screenshot, please?
It is unclear how you are set up, but these are public IPs, so you are connected to the internet. These public IPs attempted to access your device, and Avast Remote Access Shield blocked these attempts.
